Little Moments

There are little moments I’ve come to appreciate since working for myself:

Sending my wife calendar invites for lunch dates in the middle of the day.

Picking up my kids from different schools at different times.

Lying on the glider chair reading a classic novel on a weekday afternoon.

Hearing my kids ask “Why are you always working?” much less often. One of them likes to give me a kiss sometimes.

Going grocery shopping during the day, sometimes twice.

Going to the gym during the day, sometimes twice.

It’s certainly not an easy path. But I’ve been slowly finding my rhythm.
